If I can share with you a simple dish that brings comfort and joy it is this simple fried rice. I remember having it as a boy and was always so happy when I was given a fresh plate. It is savory and hearty. I hope you enjoy the simplicity and fond memories it brings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cook jasmine rice

  • 2 chinese sausage

  • 3 eggs

  • 4 minced garlic

  • 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 ½ tbsp dark soy sauce

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • pinch of sugar (optional)

  • handful of green onions

Instructions

To a hot wok, add your garlic, add sausage, add the egg. (you want to ensure each ingredient is fully cooked).

Toss in your rice. I always use fresh rice. You don't necessarily need to use day old rice. It is about not over crowding the wok and cooking with high heat.

Fry with love until golden, then toss in your sauces and seasoning. Mix, mix!

 Serve and enjoy!
